Galaxy 19, built for Intelsat, will be used for Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) when it is launched in September 2008. Based on the highly reliable and flexible SS/L 1300 bus platform, it is designed to provide advanced cable television, data, and telecommunications services to customers throughout North America, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. It is the 43rd SS/L built satellite to join the Intelsat fleet.
