Europe*Star Limited, headquartered in London, is a joint venture of Alcatel Spacecom of France and Loral Space & Communications of the United States. Europe*Star, a fixed-satellite services satellite, provides Ku-band services to Europe, Southern Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia. Alcatel was the prime contractor. SS/L provided the satellite bus, and integrated and tested the satellite in Palo Alto, CA.
