We put satellites to work in space. Imagine what we can do to launch your career.

History
Space Systems/Loral's history is rich with a tradition of innovation. We started engineering and manufacturing satellites over 40 years ago as Western Development Laboratories. Our culture today draws upon this foundation of knowledge and experience to provide the most innovative solutions to our customer's satellite communications needs in today's competitive marketplace. In 2004-2005, Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) captured the most contracts from leading satellite operators such as DIRECTV, Intelsat, XM, PanAmSat, EchoStar, TerreStar, and ICO. With 11 satellites in production, the successful launch of 5 direct-to-user satellites in 2005, and a 40 percent market share in 2005, SS/L is positioned as a leader in the industry.
